Anne Cignoli devoted her professional career in education. Anne graduated from Rivier University with an undergraduate degree in Early Childhood/Special Education and a Masters of Education in Learning Disabilities, working in varied public school elementary education roles throughout her career.

As the Blackstone-Millville district-wide Elementary Curriculum Facilitator, Anne was responsible for facilitating curriculum development to align state and local standards. She planned and implemented all professional development, responsible for the Curriculum and Professional Development budget. She authored and administered several state and federal grants that provided academic support for all students and innovative programs for staff, developing and implementing the subsequent grant-funded activities. In addition to writing state and federal entitlement grants, she was responsible for budgeting and managing all monies for these grants. Anne was a member of the Blackstone Valley Curriculum Collaborative, working with other directors to extend additional educational programming for the district. She routinely provided presentations to staff to enhance their understanding of new curriculum, instruction, and assessment being implemented. Anne also provided several family informational events to build communication and understanding of elementary curriculum being established. Anne was a board member for the state of Massachusetts Test of Educator Licensure, instrumental in writing and creating the test for educator licensure. After retiring, Anne and her husband moved to Stratham, NH. For more than 10 years, she volunteered weekly at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston in the Patient to Patient, has volunteered at the Crossroads House for homeless families in Portsmouth. She is the secretary for Vineyards Condominium Association and the Vice President for the Friends of the Stratham Library.
