Research shows that more than 85% of seniors prefer to remain in the comfort of their own home.
They may choose to downsize to a smaller home, condominium or apartment, but still want to enjoy the independence of living in their own space while continuing the lifestyle they have grown to love.
The newest innovation in long-term care planning is Continuing Care at Home (CCaH). Over the past 20 years, there has been a steady growth of CCaH programs across the county. There are more than 32 in operation currently, and Silverstone Living offers the only CCaH program in New Hampshire, called At Home by Hunt (AHBH).
For those active 62+ adults who are healthy and living independently, AHBH is a way to continue that healthy lifestyle while having a plan in place for any temporary or permanent long-term care that might be needed as they grow older. And best of all, the care is delivered directly into the home they love, avoiding the high costs of facility based assisted living or nursing home services.
Here are just a few highlights of what we offer:
Wellness and Academic Enrichment Opportunities
“Access to Hunt Community and The Huntington at Nashua, as well as AHBH Member-only events, has added to my already active lifestyle without having to move out of my home…it has given me the best of both worlds!” – Nancy B., Nashua, NH
You are healthy today and we want to help you remain that way for as long as possible. Membership includes wellness, academic and social activities to enhance your current lifestyle.
A Partnership in Healthy Aging
“Whether it is attending a doctor’s appointment, coordinating in-home care after a surgery or helping a family understand a change in health, we are here to be an advocate, advisor and support system to all of our members.” – Diane Rosala,
AHBH Wellness and Care Coordinator Our members and their families take comfort in knowing that if health changes occur, we are there to provide what they need with tailored, high-quality services overseen by their personal Health and Wellness Care Coordinator. We develop a relationship with you when you are healthy to provide the proper services when its needed, establishing a foundation for better support.
“We have a beautiful home, which we built to be accessible, and we have always hoped we could stay in this house as we grew older. For us, AHBH is preferable to selling our home and moving…it allows us to continue living here while providing us with the guidance and assistance we might need medically in the future.” – David and Marion E., Newmarket, NH
